LOCKDOWN 2024

I apologize to all of you students regarding CWSL's overreaction regarding my anger at the school's injustice. It's refreshing to see the school's true colors peek through. This is the first time I've been labelled the "Angry Black Man"

I mean, I have not harassed anyone, had any direct contact with anyone - I guess it's enough that, as a minority, I express my anger and frustration due to irregular grading policies, to put the school in a state of emergency.

Don't believe the hype! I have not had ANY contact with the school except to serve them legal papers. I guess their underwear is all in a bunch due to my blogs. Why? Why are they so concerned with what I have to say??

For anyone to think they are in any kind of danger from me, thinks an awful lot of themselves.

Because, they would think that my anger towards them is so strong that I am willing to risk everything just to threaten them?

If, by the way, I harassed anyone - file a restraining order! I literally live up the street 4 blocks away. I am not hard to find and serve.

I received a comment from (I assume) a student basically calling me out, saying I'm not helping anyone, and that the lockdown sucks . .. that I'm basically selfish for doing this.

So here's the truth: I wasn't getting anywhere with the administration. I couldn't even get them to acknowledge the information I brought to the table. I've learned that when people won't even engage the information you bring, it generally means that they know you have something valid and to engage with it could back them into a corner where they might have no choice but to accept your legitimacy.

Unfortunately, dialogical argumentation only works when both sides are invested. CalWestern walled up and refused to engage.

So I tried incorporating "shaming". It's a U.N. tactic used to put a country on blast so all the other countries know what fucked up things they're doing. That's where the blog comes in. I had hoped that maybe some students that were in the same boat I was in, or knew others that were in the same boat, would raise their voices. I'm just one guy, but maybe if several students raised awareness, things could change.

Then came the lawsuit. Make no bones about it. I'm not doing this just for myself. I'm not going back to CWSL. There's WAY too much animosity for that now. But what they're doing is shady, and they know it. CWSL is required by contract to act in good faith and deal fairly with their students, ensuring that they do not deprive their students of the benefits of the contract. This applies to the agreement regarding the grading system. If the Registrar's Office is altering grades in a manner that significantly deviates from what the professors intended and impacts GPAs disproportionately, the college is breaching this covenant. The grading system should be transparent and consistent with the established guidelines provided by the professors.

CWSL isn't arguing that they aren't disproportionately altering grades, they are arguing that it is within their rights to establish their grading system as they see fit. But, it is not within their rights to do so if the Registrar's Office is altering the grades once they receive them from professors. How many students are being wrongly dismissed because of their non-ahderence to their own policy?

Don't think I'm doing this for myself. I've already lost. I wanted this all wrapped up in time for me to be reinstated for the fall semester. That's not gonna happen. But if someone doesn't call out their shady grading policies, they're going to continue to do this - and that's not right. That's all there is to it.

I suppose if I have tactics, then so does CWSL - I can't hate on them for it. I guess an "abundance of caution" is necessary when you have a non-white male with a grievance against the school and a caucasian woman.

Sigh.

I know you think that the more you make record of this, the stronger your case seems but… I think you lack some self awareness cause the more you talk the more you dig yourself in a hole in my opinion. Read the room brother.

it amazes me how a person who has not gone through what the author is going through right now is commenting on how the aurthor has a lack of self awareness? who are you the head of the psychology department ? do you know this person in actual life? what a shame ! why not ask yourself what would you do in this situation? That is if you have the qualities of a strong and practical lawyer who is passionate about human rights and advocacy, which is a quality every lawyer should have . In my opinion their is nothing stronger then a person who is honest and says what needs to be said without sugarcoating . It is u…
